Desperate Housewives actress Felicity Huffman released her book “A Practical Handbook for the Boyfriend” last night at Iconology in Los Angeles, Calif.
Says Felicity: “We started writing the book because we wanted it to help guys figure women out. We weren’t presenting ourselves as experts. The book is a little bit of advice and a lot of funny. We thought women would read the book, and hopefully they’ll give it to their guys.”
Her Desperate co-stars were on hand to celebrate including Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher, Nicollette Sheridan, Andrea Bowen, and Brenda Strong.
Noticeably missing was Marcia Cross, who’s still on bed rest until she gives birth to her twins (rumored to be girls) in April. Check out more pictures from Felicity’s book launch here!
As for Wisteria Lane, Nicollette’s scheming character will take the lead in season three, while Marcia (Bree) is on maternity leave.
Says executive producer Marc Cherry: “Nicollette has been bumped up to front and center. There was a line in the pilot episode two years ago about how Edie had a son and he’s finally going to come and stay with her.”

It’s a Desperate Housewives reunion!
Felicity Huffman hosts a bridal shower at her Hollywood Hills home for Eva Longoria. Guests including Desperate Housewives stars Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, and Nicolette Sheridan.
Unmarried guests participated in a toilet paper wedding dress competition. Teri picked up top prize as judged by Eva!
Eva is all set for her 7-7-’07 nuptials in France with fiance basketball star Tony Parker.

Long-time supporter Hatcher returned as honorary chair for Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance and host for Comedy for a Cure. She wore shoes from Versace.
The evening began with a VIP celebrity cocktail reception, continued with silent and live auctions and concluded with a comedy cabaret show. The event was held at The Music Box @ Fonda Theatre in Hollywood.
Tidbit: Kay was Eva Longoria boyfriend in 2004 when he directed her in a television movie, The Dead Will Tell.

Here are the first pictures of Felicity Huffman in one heckuva bizarre-o costume on Wednesday from the Long Island set of comedy Phoebe in Wonderland.
The Desperate Housewives actress filmed a fantasy sequence alongside 9-year-old co-star Elle Fanning (Dakota’s little sister, pictured below).
This movie will mark the directorial debut for Daniel Barnz, who also penned the screenplay.
Phoebe in Wonderland stars Fanning as a rebellious little girl who clashes with the rule-obsessed authority figures in her life. She seeks enlightenment from her unconventional drama teacher (Patricia Clarkson). Bill Pullman also co-stars.
Barnz, who apparently loves films with the word “land” in the title, also wrote Sugarland, which Jodie Foster will direct and star in. It’s an upcoming lawyer drama about exploited migrant workers also starring Robert DeNiro. Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher is the newest face for American fashion house Badgley Mischka. Photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth, the autumn/winter advertisements will be featured in next month’s fashion magazines.
“Back in the Lois & Clark days, the first time I went to the Emmys … the first gown I ever wore on a red carpet was a Badgley Mischka gown,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “It was a really big hit. It was a big moment for me, and it was a big moment for them. We have this history together.”
“To take a piece — whether it is something from sunglasses to … they have this fabulous handbag that I just saw this morning and said, ‘This is the greatest handbag ever.’ Those kinds of little things, like a new pair of shoes, can change your whole day,” Teri expounded on why women should indulge. “It can change the whole energy of your mood. Emerson Rose Tenney, 9 1/2, is following in her mom's footsteps -- into the kitchen. Teri Hatcher, famous for sharing baked treats on set, says Emerson has some serious culinary chops.
My daughter loves to cook. She brought an enchilada dish she made to the set. She's very into it.
She definitely has the skills to back it up. Before going to Eva Longoria and Tony Parker's wedding, Teri, 42, and Emerson enrolled in cooking school in Italy. And when they're not slaving away in the kitchen, they're watching others do so on television in between viewings of Dancing with the Stars and American Idol.
Oh, I don't know [which cooking show is our favorite]; we like them all!

Teri Hatcher works the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of Resurrecting The Champ at the Samuel Golden theater in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.
“I thought it was fun,” Teri said of her Iceberg dress. “And I love Jimmy Choo shoes.”
In the film, Teri, 42, plays Flak, the ethically-challenged Showtime executive who tries to seduce Erik (Josh Hartnett) not only up to her hotel room but also into a high-paying, but journalistically unchallenging position at the network.
Hatcher later hit up the after-party at the Academy of Arts and Sciences, where she rubbed shoulders with co-stars Samuel L. Jackson and Rachel Nichols.
